President and managing partner at Ruggiero Insurance Agency, LLC,   Thomas W. Ruggiero has taken the knowledge and business acumen he obtained through an extensive career in the aeronautical industry and turned them to good use in the financial services industry. Tom believes both knowledge and education are critical parts of the advisor-client relationship. He has learned the importance of developing a very clear understanding of the client’s needs and goals by establishing a solid, yet fluid plan of action in order to achieve them. This has allowed Mr. Ruggiero to help clients not only plan out retirement but be financially prepared for life’s unexpected events. Tom’s personal satisfaction comes from helping people protect the assets they have worked hard to accumulate over years of hard work. Mr. Ruggiero received a BA in Business Administration from the Metropolitan College of New York. Tom is a  Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, CRPS®  and is currently in the process to attain the  CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation. Tom maintains multiple securities licenses within the financial industry that serve as an asset in helping his clients meet their needs and goals.

Adolfo R. Segovia Ruiz is an insurance professional, entrepreneur, and business leader, and the Co-Founder of NextGuard Insurance, a South Florida–based agency focused on delivering modern, personalized protection for individuals, families, and businesses.

He holds an MBA from the University of Miami Herbert Business School, where he developed a strong foundation in strategy, finance, and business leadership — skills he now applies to building scalable, client-focused insurance solutions. Adolfo is also a licensed Florida 2-20 General Lines Insurance Agent, the state’s most comprehensive property and casualty license, qualifying him to advise clients and provide coverage across home, auto, and commercial lines.

With over a decade of professional experience in sales, account management, and client advisory roles across technology, SaaS, and financial services industries, Adolfo has built a reputation for trust, relationship building, and delivering tailored solutions for both individuals and organizations. He has worked closely with business owners, executives, and enterprise clients, helping them assess risk, protect assets, and make informed financial decisions.

This customer-first mindset became the foundation for NextGuard Insurance. Recognizing that many people feel overwhelmed or underserved by traditional agencies, Adolfo co-founded NextGuard to simplify the insurance process through education, transparency, and hands-on support. His mission is to make insurance easy to understand, competitively priced, and always aligned with each client’s unique needs.

Today, Adolfo leads NextGuard’s strategy, partnerships, and growth initiatives, ensuring every client receives not just a policy, but true protection and peace of mind.
